Law enforcement report

¢ Lawrence police recovered possible marijuana plants and cocaine about 3:30 a.m. Thursday at 1020 E. 23rd St.

¢ An EconoLodge employee reported gun shots fired about 1:30 a.m. Thursday in the 500 block of McDonald Drive near the Holiday Inn.

Burglaries and thefts reported

¢ A 19-year-old Lawrence man reported a burglary of $1,220 on June 16 at 3 p.m in the 900 block of Emery Road. Stolen was a Microsoft Xbox 360, Xbox games, DVDs and a screen to the rear window.

Injury accidents

¢ A Lawrence man was involved in an injury accident at 5:55 p.m. Thursday near the 191.6 mile marker on the Kansas Turnpike. John Cronister, 22, was driving a 2001 Ford truck when he lost control of his vehicle, overcorrected, went across the lanes of traffic and struck a barrier wall.

Cronister, who was partially ejected, was not wearing a seat belt. He was life-flighted to Kansas University Hospital, where a spokesman said Friday he was in stable condition.
