Author Jeff Goodell will give a reading and book-signing for his work “Big Coal: The Dirty Secret behind America’s Energy Future,” at 4 p.m. Saturday.

Goodell is a journalist and contributing editor to Rolling Stone Magazine.

The Raven Bookstore is sponsoring the event, which will take place at Lawrence Public Library’s auditorium, 707 Vt.
