Michael Moore, general manager of SpringHill Suites by Marriott in Lawrence, has been named the 2006 General Manager of the Year by the hotel’s management company, Capital Management Inc.

The award recognizes Moore’s exceptional leadership and the hotel’s outstanding operations in 2006, said John Galvan, of Overland Park-based Capital Management. Moore also was a top performer in customer satisfaction, and the Lawrence hotel earned high scores during inspections by Marriott, Galvan said.

Moore has been employed by SpringHill Suites for more than four years. The Lawrence location is at One Riverfront Plaza.
