Lawrence Public Transit seeks volunteers to assist with the distribution of new “T” bus route maps and schedule information to a variety of locations throughout the city.

¢ Jubilee Cafe provides breakfast to in-need members of the community in a restaurant-style environment and seeks volunteers to help prepare and serve meals, and clean up afterward. The program runs from 6 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Tuesday and Friday mornings at First United Methodist Church, 946 Vt. To volunteer, call 864-4073.

¢ Douglas County Child Development Association is looking for people willing to be a part of a team committed to serving the early education community. Volunteers are asked to make a three-month commitment for three hours a week. Volunteers will assist with general clerical tasks including copying, assembling packets and preparing mailings. ¢ University Theatre needs volunteers to assist with productions of “Starting Here, Starting Now” during the summer season. The theater needs volunteers to usher and take tickets for Friday, Saturday and Sunday performances. Volunteers may stay to view performances for free. ¢ Operation WildLife needs a volunteer office assistant to help with data entry, filing and general office management. The hours and days for the position are extremely flexible.

Wildlife rehabilitation volunteers are also needed to perform duties such as cleaning cages, feeding the animals, administering medication and many other tasks.
