LMH group honors volunteers, donors

The Lawrence Memorial Hospital Endowment Association recently presented four Elizabeth Watkins Community Caring Awards to individuals and groups that donate money or time to improving the area’s health care system.

Winners of the new award:

¢ Janette McCullough, for her efforts to create the Hearts of Gold Ball and her numerous volunteer projects with the endowment association.

¢ Bea Carlson, an LMH Auxiliary member who has worked more than 30,000 volunteer hours in the past 30 years at the hospital.

¢ The World Company – owner of the Journal-World and Sunflower Broadband – for its efforts to educate the public about health care issues, and for several donations to the hospital’s fundraising efforts.

¢ Huxtable and Associates for donating equipment and staff to provide lighting and electricity for the Hearts of Gold event, and for numerous donations to the hospital’s fundraising efforts.
