A Lawrence outpatient clinic for military veterans will have an open house today as it celebrates expanded hours of operation.

The clinic, at 2200 Harvard Road, opened in June to serve eligible area veterans on a varied schedule. Now, the clinic is open Monday through Friday. It is operated by the Veterans Affairs Eastern Kansas Health Care System.

The open house will begin at 10:30 a.m. today. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be followed by refreshments. U.S. Reps. Dennis Moore and Nancy Boyda plan to attend the event.
