Seabury girls fall

? Seabury Academy couldn’t overcome a 16-point first quarter deficit in a 66-20 high school girls basketball loss Thursday against Pomona in the West Franklin Invitational.

Molly Thurman led Seabury with seven points.

“Pomona is a really good team,” Seabury coach Nick Taylor said. “We were outmatched. They had a lot of good players, and we just kind of played into their hands. We ran up against a team that was very good, and we struggled.”

Seabury (2-6) will be home Monday to play Kansas School for the Deaf.
