Olathe ? Tyler Kring rolled a 645 series as the Free State High boys bowling team finished third in a three-team meet Tuesday at Mission Bowl, the Firebirds’ final tuneup before Saturday’s regional competition.

Olathe South won the boys competition with a 2,505 pinfall, followed by Olathe Northwest (2,465) and Free State (2,322).

Free State also finished third on the girls side, dropping 1,938 pins. Melissa Burnside led the Firebirds with a 549.

The eight-team regional meet is slated for Saturday at Gage North in Topeka.
