J-W seeks readers’ pictures of potholes

Richard Gwin/Journal-World Photo potHoles all over town seem to be getting deeper all the time as hub caps and mufflers dot the streets after cars go through the holes and bottom up and loose parts a hand sprouts up hoping for help with one along Louisiana street.

It’s been a tough winter on roads in northeastern Kansas. At least we can see our roads – unlike our friends in New York – but as we crawl out of the deep freeze, we have reminders of the snow and ice.

Potholes.

If the potholes in front of your house or on your way to work are particularly impressive – or if they’re depressing you – take a picture or shoot a video and submit them to the Journal-World online.

To upload a picture of your favorite pothole, visit the link to the left. Or send your digital images of those craters via e-mail to editor@ljworld.com.

Remember to tell us where you took your picture and provide any other pertinent information.

All usable photos will be featured in an online pothole photo gallery.

The deadline for submissions is 5 p.m. Tuesday.
