Lawrence artist Nancy Bjorge, noted for her contemporary mixed-media creations that incorporate traditional Chinese paper-folding techniques, will show her work with more than 850 of the country’s leading craft artists during the American Craft Council Show Feb. 23-25 in Baltimore.

Billed as “the largest juried, indoor craft show in the nation,” the American Craft Council Show, at the Baltimore Convention Center, will feature a variety of crafts for purchase, including handmade jewelry, furniture, clothing and home decor.

Bjorge, who learned basic paper-folding techniques as a child growing up in China, makes jewelry, paper sculptures and mixed-media works in clear glass vases that typically incorporate clean, crisp designs of paper creations in a variety of colors. Her work has been exhibited in one-person shows throughout the world, including a 2004 show in Eutin, Germany, and a 2000 exhibition titled “Atlas of the Origami World” in Moscow. She also has shown her work at area art organizations such as the Lawrence Art Center.
