The Leavenworth County Sheriff’s Office was on the scene Wednesday night of an apparent fatal wreck on U.S. Highway 24-40 in Basehor.

The wreck, which was reported shortly before 9:15 p.m., involved at least three vehicles and six injured people. It happened near Highway 24-40’s intersection with 158th Street.
