Manhattan ? Former President Bill Clinton will speak at Kansas State University next month as part of the Landon Lecture series.

The 42nd president returns to Kansas for the first time since 2004, when he spoke in Lawrence at the inaugural lecture to honor former Sen. Bob Dole.

The March 2 lecture at Bramlage Coliseum on the K-State campus was made possible with the help of Gov. Kathleen Sebelius, who encouraged Clinton to accept an invitation, according to university President Jon Wefald.

Clinton joins a list of former presidents, including George H.W. Bush, Jimmy Carter, Richard Nixon and Ronald Reagan, who have spoken at the lecture series named after former governor Alfred M. Landon.

Admission is free, but a ticket is required. K-State students, faculty and staff have first priority for obtaining tickets, along with Fort Riley military personnel.
