Meals on Wheels is in need of drivers to deliver meals to elderly and home-bound community members.

Immediate volunteer needs

¢ The Social Service League is in need of donations of coats, blankets, boots and other winter weather clothing. Volunteers are also needed to help organize and sort donations.

¢ The Jubilee Cafe serves breakfast to in-need members of the community in a restaurant-style environment and seeks volunteers to prepare, serve and help with meal clean-up.

The program runs from 6 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. each Tuesday and Friday morning at First Methodist Church at 946 Vt.

¢ Lawrence Memorial Hospital needs volunteers for various positions.

LMH South is seeking a reception volunteer on Thursday afternoons. The main hospital is looking for customer service-oriented people who can give a three- to six-month commitment for three to four hours a week as an escort volunteer to transport patients, make deliveries and run errands. Volunteers are also needed Wednesdays in the second medical unit to stock supplies in kitchen and alcoves, wipe down wheelchairs and assist visitors and patients.
