Eldridge’s Ten wins Award of Excellence

Restaurant and bar operations at the Eldridge Hotel in downtown Lawrence now work from a wine list that has received the 2007 Wine Spectator Award of Excellence.

Both Ten and The Jayhawker draw from the list that won the publication’s international award, given to restaurants that offer wine from a well-chosen selection of quality producers, along with providing a thematic match to each restaurant’s menu in price and style.

The wine list for the Eldridge, compiled by Luke Lawlor, features 170 bottle selections.

Ten is one of five restaurants in Kansas to earn the award this year. Among them is Teller’s, also in downtown Lawrence.

Winners are featured in the magazine’s Aug. 31 edition, and in Wine Spectator’s online dining guide at winespectator.com.
