Rebels U-12 champs: Kansas Rebels U-12 won the Hardball Classic last weekend in Overland Park. Team members are Jacob Caldwell, Alex Green, Drew Green, Drake Hofer, Lee McMahon, Rigby McClure, Kyle McFarland, Cody Scott, Stan Skwarlo, CJ Stuever, Daniel Vineyard and Shane Willoughby. Coaches are Joe Caldwell, Darren McClure, Kevin Stuever and Mike Willoughby.

¢Schlup JGC champ: Allen Schlup recorded a 73 and won Sunday’s Jayhawk Golf Club weekly net tournament at Alvamar by two strokes over Tom Dennis and Chad Roesler. Rich Anthony and Pete Whitenight shared third place, each with a 76. Coming in at 77 were Tommy Hinton, Curt Anderson and Mike Hertling. Roesler and Conrad Roberts each posted a 76 for the low gross score.

¢Junior Jayhawks win: Phil Ozorkiewicz had two tries and four conversions as the U-19 Junior Jayhawks clipped Overland Park Aquinas, 28-7, in rugby Saturday at Westwick Complex. Cody Weber and Dylan Smith added one try apiece.

¢Marathon winner: Steve Riley of Lawrence won the Earth Day Challenge Marathon Sunday in Gambier, Ohio. Riley’s time was 3:01:49.

¢Soccer coach clinic: The National Soccer Coaches Association will stage a Parent as Coach clinic for adults who coach youths ages 5-8 Saturday at Free State High. For information, contact Jason Pendleton at jpendlet@usd497.org.

¢Free State basketball camps: Free State High boys and girls basketball camps will be June 4-8 for grades 10-12. A boys camp for grades 3-9 will be May 29-June 1.
