Wednesday’s scheduled softball game between Free State and three-time defending Class 6A state champion Olathe East was rained out. Again.

The Firebirds (7-1) and the Hawks (8-0) originally were scheduled to meet April 10 at the FSHS field, but that twinbill was also postponed because of wet grounds.

The third attempt at playing the two games will be on either May 4 or May 7 with a final determination to be made today.

Free State golf’s scheduled trip to the Mill Valley Invitational on Wednesday also was washed.
