Artist’s display in treasurer’s office
The Douglas County treasurer’s office is providing a new venue for local artists to display their work.
Lawrence artist Kristin Morland’s work will be shown through May 29. There will be a reception for Morland from 9:15 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. Monday in the Douglas County Courthouse, 1100 Mass. Morland has been creating sequin and bead fiber works for the past seven years.
New works of art will be displayed every six weeks.
The treasurer’s office exhibit can be viewed from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
