‘The Right Start’ set for April 24

Kansas University’s Small Business Development Center will present an evening edition of “The Right Start,” the center’s ongoing seminar series for startups, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. April 24 at the center, 734 Vt., suite 104.

The seminar will offer prospective or new business owners an overview of a variety of topics, including licensing, permits, registration, taxes, accounting, marketing, business plan writing and financing. Individual questions also will be addressed.

The seminar, for which Central National Bank is a sponsor, is free.

The center is cooperatively sponsored by the U.S. Small Business Administration, the Kansas Department of Commerce, the city of Lawrence, Douglas County and KU.
