Haskell’s Brady Tanner won four gold medals, including an overall first-place finish, in Saturday’s Special Olympics regional power lifting championship at Haskell.

Tanner won the bench press (335 pounds), dead lift (500 pounds), squat (600 pounds) and overall (1,435 pounds combined) medals. Forty-seven lifters from northeast Kansas competed in the event.

Tanner will compete in June’s Special Olympics state summer games June 2-3 in Wichita.
