Walking, biking event to raise money for center
An event to raise money to keep life-saving services available at Headquarters Counseling Center offers a day of walking, cycling and throwing rubber chickens around.
The Life Support Rally and Festival will take place from 7:30 a.m. to noon April 28 at Sunflower School, 2521 Inverness Drive.
Walkers can choose from walking routes ranging in length from 2 to 6 miles, while bicyclists can go on rides ranging from 12 miles to 50 miles.
Afterward, there will be live music, food and the Rubber Chicken Chuckin’ Championship.
