Former teen favorites to star in CBS pilot

Leslie Bibb will play the female lead in CBS’ comedy “Atlanta,” appearing opposite Freddie Prinze Jr. in the pilot.

Scripted by Paul Reiser, “Atlanta” is a single-camera comedy about two people (Prinze and now Bibb, according to Variety) who meet at a funeral and then can’t stop running into each other.

Harold Ramis is directing the pilot.

On the TV front, Bibb’s credits include “Popular,” “Line of Fire” and “Crossing Jordan.” On the big screen, she was most recently seen in the hit “Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby.”

In other pilot casting news, Michael Goorjian (“Party of Five”) has booked a guest starring role in the Fox drama “Company Man” (formerly “NSA Innocent”). The role could become regular if “Company Man” goes to series.
