Boy Scout Troop 52, chartered to First United Methodist Church, conducted its annual Spring Court of Honor on March 27. Alek Joyce, senior patrol leader, led the Court of Honor along with Chris Golledge, scoutmaster, and Glen Sharp, troop committee chairman. The Friends of Scouting presentation was made by Mark Gleason, and the troop received its goal for the year.

Boys who had joined the troop in recent months received the rank of Scout. They include Donavan Barr, Diamond Brockway, Cory Church, Matthew Dominquez, Caelan Golledge, Vail Moshiri, Chase Oehlert, Thomas Peterson, Darren Rawlings, Matthew Rood, Hunger Ross, John Ross, Tyler Sampson, Hunter Shawley, Drew Sheppard, Connor Smith, Gavin Spence, Garrett Weeks and Dakota Zinn. Scouts earning rank advancements and other honors include Logan Hinkle, First Class; Tyler Denney and Eric Long, Star; Henry Reiske, Silver Palm and 2nd Bronze Palm.

Todd Roberts, Cameron Hershiser, Cyril Cook and Jack Berkowitz were recognized for having retained the rank of Eagle Scout since the last Court of Honor. Boys earning one or more merit badges or other honors include Timothy Barta, Andrew Denny, Brendan Golledge, Nicholas Joseph, Alek Joyce, Stefen Kuczera, David Long, Doug Rawlings, Henry Reiske and Michael Smith.
