‘The Right Start’ set for next week

Kansas University’s Small Business Development Center will present another edition of “The Right Start,” a seminar for startups, from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. April 12 at the center, 734 Vt., suite 104.

The seminar will give prospective or new business owners an overview of licensing, permits, registration, taxes, accounting, marketing, business plan writing and financing. Individual questions also will be addressed.

The seminar, for which Central National Bank is a sponsor, is free. Attendees also may purchase a resource notebook for $10. Preregistration is required; people can e-mail maggie32@ ku.edu or call 843-8844.

The center is cooperatively sponsored by the U.S. Small Business Administration, the Kansas Department of Commerce, the city of Lawrence, Douglas County and KU.
