SafeCenter, Scouts sponsoring career fair

It’s never too early to start planning for a career.

The GaDuGi SafeCenter in conjunction with the Girl Scouts of Kaw Valley Council will be sponsoring a free career fair for junior high school students from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday at Liberty Hall, 642 Mass. The interactive event, called “How To Do What You Love and Get Paid For It,” will help students explore their skills and passions.

Students also can meet local career professionals such as architects, firefighters and disc jockeys who will provide hands-on activities. Refreshments will be provided.

The event is a Wednesdays @ Liberty Hall event, a program of the GaDuGi SafeCenter. For more information, call 843-8985 or e-mail maryolivethompson@sunflower.org.
