The Douglas County Clerk’s office has made it easier for registered voters to see an online sample of the ballot they will be completing in the Nov. 7 general election.

Sample ballots are now linked to the voter registration search function on the Web site www.douglas-county.com/clerk/vedivision.asp, Clerk Jamie Shew said.

After typing in a name in the voter search box, a page shows where to vote and its precinct number. Click a link to bring up a sample ballot in PDF.

“We will continue to enhance the usability of our Web site and offer more information and services for the citizens of Douglas County,” Shew said.

County residents continue to participate in advance voting. As of late Friday, 5,782 people had requested advance ballots through the mail and 1,084 have been returned, Shew said. Nearly 700 had gone to the courthouse to cast advance ballots in person, he said.

Advance voting began more than a week ago and will continue until noon Nov. 6.
