Paul Davis Restoration of Greater Lawrence and Topeka is teaming up with Schmidt Builders Supply Inc. to donate services and materials for installing a wheelchair ramp at the home of a North Lawrence family, as part of the parent company’s annual Paul Davis Restoring America Program.

The nationwide program is designed to assist people who cannot afford or are physically unable to fix up their homes. This year’s recipient in the Lawrence area is Antonia Ramirez, who was nominated by Independence Inc.

Erin Nix, project coordinator for Paul Davis Restoration in Lawrence, said that company crews were scheduled to start and complete the project today, using its own donated labor plus donated materials from Schmidt Builders Supply.
