Work on the new 18-hole Alvamar Hills Golf Course was reported progressing on schedule by developer Bob Billings. June 1968 was being eyed as the opening date for the par 72, 18-hole layout to the south and west of the city. Billings was quite optimistic that the schedule would be met.
