A Perry teenager received disabling injuries in a rollover accident late Friday.

Ethan Unfred, 16, was ejected from the 1995 Mercury car he was driving on Lecompton Road, about one mile south of U.S. Highway 24, in Jefferson County, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol. It happened at 11:50 p.m., when the car crossed the road, entered the east ditch and rolled multiple times.

Unfred was flown to the University of Kansas Hospital in Kansas City, Kan., by helicopter.

He was not wearing a seat belt, according to a report.
