Prosoco promotes, hires technicians

Prosoco Inc. has promoted Lawrence resident Chris Moore to research and development technician, and fellow Lawrence resident John Lancaster has joined the company in Moore’s previous job, as testing technician.

The company, based in the East Hills Business Park, is a manufacturer of products for cleaning, protecting and maintaining concrete, brick and stone architecture.

Moore helps develop new products and improve existing ones by working on processes for large-scale manufacturing, based on research conducted in the company’s lab.

Moore, who joined Prosoco in 2004, graduated from Lawrence High School and received his bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Kansas University.

Lancaster tests Prosoco products on brick and block that has been submitted by masonry manufacturers. He received a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and physics from KU, where he worked as a research assistant in the physics department.
