A recent article in the Journal-World described caregiving problems for dementia patients and the value of the local group at the Lawrence Senior Center. When I was faced with this problem for my late wife, I participated in the Senior Center group and found it helpful. However, for daily help I subscribed to the Alzheimer’s List on e-mail. I highly recommend this to all people faced with the problems of caring for dementia patients. Information is at http://alzheimer.wustl.edu/adrc2/alzheimerlist/. It was a wonderful source of information and comfort.
