The lettermen returning for the Lawrence High basketball season, with Max Rife as head coach, were Leonard Jackson, Chip Maxwell, Tom Miller, Charles Laskowski, Terry Benson and Dale Stanwix. All were seniors except for Stanwix, who was a junior. Lion hopes were high for the coming season.
