Las Vegas ? In Billy Donovan’s eyes, tonight’s Florida-Kansas basketball game will not be contested on a neutral floor.

“We are playing at Kansas tomorrow,” Florida coach Donovan said of 8,500-seat Orleans Arena, which is expected to be jam-packed with KU fans, not fans of the Gators.

“They travel very well. Ninety eight percent of that arena will be Kansas. We are in Las Vegas, but we are playing in Lawrence, Kansas, tomorrow,” he repeated.

He was speaking after the Gators’ 101-68 victory over Western Kentucky, a game in which Corey Brewer scored 20 points off 6-of-13 shooting despite a case of the flu.

“I’m a little sick. Some fluids and I’ll be fine,” Brewer said.

“If he wants to stay sick and play like he did today, that will be fine,” Donovan quipped.

Taurean Green had 19 points, while Al Horford contributed 16 and Lee Humphrey and Joakim Noah 10 apiece for the Gators, who tied a school record with their 17th straight victory.

The team opened last year’s national title campaign with 17 straight wins and closed the season with 11 victories to go with six to open this season.

“Our guys came out with the right mind-set and focus,” Donovan said. “The reason we shot a high percentage (60.7) is we passed the ball, guys were unselfish and had the right mind-set.”

Donovan said he didn’t watch KU’s 64-46 victory over Ball State.

“This is exactly what we need. We need a challenge against a top-five team,” Donovan said of the 10th-rated Jayhawks.

Western Kentucky was led by Courtney Lee, who had 16 points. Benson Callier had 15.
