The kids of summer

A roughly three-month guide for Lawrence youth for what to do between vacations and hanging out

Winter may be the most appropriate time for young’uns to curl up in front of the TV and master the latest PlayStation game.

But summer is the season to indulge in actual activities. No excuses.

Our activities guide presents concerts, blockbuster movie releases, Summer Youth Theatre shows, county fairs and all the amusing Royals promotions that can take one’s mind off the team’s escalating loss count.

Everyone from chipper pre-schoolers to mopey teens can enjoy these opportunities that Lawrence and its surrounding areas have to offer.
