The following construction projects may affect commuter traffic in the region this week:

Interstate 70, from the East Topeka to Lecompton exits, widening project under way.

The road widening project along U.S. Highway 40, otherwise known as Sixth Street, is nearly complete. Some lane closures may occur in order to allow finish construction.

Route 1055 south of Lawrence will be closed between North 800 and North 1000 roads for the replacement of a bridge immediately north of the Cedar Hill Gun Club. A detour sign is posted.

Intermittent lane closures south of Lansing in preparation for road reconstruction.

Interstate 35 at 87th Street, several ramps closed due to bridge construction. Commuters should use 95th Street if traveling north on Interstate 35 or 75th Street if traveling south.

The following ongoing construction projects may affect city traffic this week:

Sixth Street widening project from Folks Road to the South Lawrence Trafficway.

Monterey Way, between Stetson Drive and Grand Vista, as well as Peterson Road west of Kasold Drive, will be closed to through traffic for road improvements.

The bridge over the Kansas Turnpike on Kasold Drive, north of Peterson Road, will be closed due to reconstruction.

Parking will be removed from much of the 700 and 800 blocks of Massachusetts Street and traffic will be reduced to southbound only due to waterline repairs.

17th Street, between Vermont and Kentucky streets will be closed for sewer construction. Traffic restricted at all intersections of Massachusetts Street between 13th and 17th streets. Expect delays and lane reductions throughout the area.

Traffic restricted on Kansas from Nebraska to Ohio streets for waterline repair.

Possible delays on Iowa Street due to private storm sewer improvements and milling between 33rd and 34th streets.

Lane closure on Kasold Drive between 22nd Terrrace and Bob Billings Parkway due to road reconstruction.

Inverness Drive, north of Turnberry Drive, will be restricted to one lane for concrete repairs.

Bob Billings Parkway from Inverness Road to Wakarusa Drive, 27th Street and Lawrence Avenue to west of Iowa Street, Bel-Air Court to Inverness Drive, Clinton Parkway frontage road from Hawthorne Drive to Crossgate Drive, Hawthorne Drive from Clinton Parkway to Lowell Drive, Lowell Drive from Clinton Parkway frontage road to Hawthorne Drive, Murrow Court from W. 9th Street to Yale Road, Seventh from Walnut to Lake streets, Ranch Street near Inverness Drive, Riverview Road from Settlers to Kasold drives, Riverview Road, Rockfence Place from Longhorn Drive to Riverview Road, Royal Birkdale Court near Inverness Drive, 11th Street from Mississippi Street to West Campus Drive, Second Street from Michigan Street to McDonald Drive, Wagon Wheel Road from Longhorn Drive to Riverview Road and Winged Foot Court near Inverness Drive.
