J.A. Cleavinger, superintendent of Baldwin schools, resigned to become superintendent of the Sabetha district.

James Ralston was appointed director of choral activities at Kansas University, succeeding Clayton Krehbiel, who was leaving for work with the Cleveland Symphony. Ralston had been at KU four years.
