A 41-year-old Pensacola, Fla., man has been charged in Douglas County with having inappropriate sexual contact with a 10-year-old female acquaintance sometime in the first half of 2005.

The victim’s mother reported to Lawrence Police in August that the girl had disclosed having sexual contact with someone she knew.

The man was booked into the Douglas County Jail on Saturday evening and posted bond with an order to appear in court May 26.
