An experienced player in the world of investing in Asian markets will share her insights during a breakfast meeting of Kansas International at 7:30 a.m. Friday at Alvamar Country Club.

Kara Tan Bhala, above, chief executive officer of Seven Pillars Consulting LLC, an Asian financial consulting firm, will discuss “Investment Themes in Greater China.”

Bhala, who is pursuing a doctorate in philosophy at Kansas University, is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, and England’s Royal Society for Asian Affairs.

From 1992 to 2000 she was managing director and senior portfolio manager for Merrill Lynch’s Dragon Fund, responsible for managing nearly $1 billion.
