Monday is the final day for Douglas Countians to request an informal hearing about their personal property values.

Requests must be made by 5 p.m. with the Douglas County Appraiser’s Office.

A total of 7,081 personal property change of value notices were mailed April 28. Personal property includes boats, mobile homes and business equipment.

The preliminary assessed value for personal property is estimated at more than $65.49 million, according to appraisers. Last year’s personal property value was $69.62 million.

The deadline for second half payments on previous year property taxes was Wednesday.
