Body in burned car not yet identified

The body found burned Sunday morning in a car at Clinton Lake had not been identified as of Tuesday, and the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office was not releasing any new information on its investigation.

Autopsy results still were pending Tuesday from coroner Erik Mitchell.

The body was found inside a white Mazda 626 near Rock Creek boat ramp on the south side of the lake. A passer-by reported seeing the vehicle on fire around 11 a.m.
