Law enforcement report

¢ A Kansas University student reported to Lawrence Police that a man wearing a black sweatshirt and jeans stole her purse as she was walking home from class Tuesday afternoon.

The purse snatching occurred at 4 p.m. on Emery Road near Sigma Nu Drive, police said. The suspect then ran into a wooded area near West Hills Apartments.

Police have not located a suspect.
