Burglaries and thefts reported

¢ Concrete forms and caps valued at more than $50,000 disappeared between 6 p.m. March 17 and 10 a.m. Wednesday from the 5200 block of Overland Drive. The items belonged to a Lawrence foundation company.

¢ Radio Shack, 601 Kasold Drive, reported a GPS receiver and a radar detector valued at $1,200 total stolen between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. March 18.

¢ A resident of the townhomes at 255 N. Mich. reported a Ford Aspire valued at $1,000 stolen between 2:30 a.m. and 11:47 a.m. Thursday.

Injury accidents

¢ A Lawrence woman was treated Thursday at Lawrence Memorial Hospital after a two-vehicle wreck at Ninth and Kentucky streets.

Beverly Mumford, 56, was riding in a northbound Chevrolet on Kentucky Street in the left lane when a Nissan pickup truck that was also northbound in the right lane made an improper left turn onto Ninth Street and struck the Chevrolet.

The driver of the Nissan, Davalance J. Depoe, 27, Eagan, Minn., was cited for making an improper left turn, according to a report.

Mumford was taken by ambulance to LMH, where she was treated and released.

¢ Blood-alcohol results are pending from a driver involved in a wreck Monday night at Sixth and Maine streets.

Richard L. Jaimez, 25, Lawrence, and a passenger in his 1991 Toyota, Johnathan Osburn, 38, Lawrence, were both taken by ambulance to Lawrence Memorial Hospital for treatment after the wreck. Neither was wearing a seat belt, according to a report.

Jaimez was driving west on Sixth Street about 8:30 p.m. when he struck an oncoming 1998 Toyota RAV driven by Dennis D. Goodden, 63, Lawrence, that was turning north onto Maine Street. The impact knocked Goodden’s vehicle into a third vehicle that was stopped at the stoplight on southbound Maine Street.

A police report said officers tested Jaimez for alcohol and that results are pending.

¢ One person was transported to Lawrence Memorial Hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries after a one-vehicle accident Friday night south of Lecompton.

The accident occurred about 7:30 p.m. in the 1900 section of County Road 1029. Capt. Mark Elliott, of Lawrence Douglas County Fire & Medical, said the four other persons in the vehicle were not taken to the hospital. An accident report was unavailable Friday night.
