Ottawan pleads guilty to child porn

An Ottawa man who installed a camera in the ceiling of a women’s bathroom pleaded guilty to child pornography charges Monday.

Richard Dimoush, 40, pleaded guilty in federal court after admitting that a female employee at the Plaza Theater he owned in Ottawa found the camera, prompting a police investigation.

The investigation, which centered around the theater and his house, turned up several items of child porn, including a video he had made of himself having sex with a minor.

Dimoush faces a maximum of 10 years in federal prison and a fine of up to $250,000. U.S. attorney Eric Melgren praised the work of the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Ottawa Police Department, who took part in the investigation.
