Law enforcement report

¢ A Lawrence man was arrested Friday afternoon on charges of aggravated criminal sodomy and sexual battery. The man was booked into the Douglas County Jail just before 2 p.m., according to jail records.

Lawrence Police Sgt. Susan Hadl said Friday night that officers with the department’s midnight shift investigated the case and that further information was unavailable about the allegations or the arrest.

¢ Lawrence High School administrators worked with the school resource officer to investigate an anonymous call to the school safety hot line earlier this week that alleged a student threatened two other students. The investigation determined that no threat existed, and an informational report was filed.

Burglaries and thefts reported

¢ A 22-year-old Kansas University student’s Honda motorcycle valued at $7,000 was stolen between 10:30 p.m. and 11:50 p.m. Wednesday from Cornish Square at Meadowbrook Apartments, Bob Billings Parkway and Crestline Drive. Police also took reports of three vehicles that were burglarized March 1-2 at the apartment complex. In each case, a door lock was broken and car stereos were stolen.

¢ Seventy DVDs valued at more than $1,400 were stolen between Feb. 28 and Tuesday from Brits, 929 Mass.

¢ Police took a report of a forged check for $1,001.88 on Tuesday morning at Douglas County Bank, 1444 Kasold Drive.
