550 music students to compete at festival

Lawrence singers among those slated to attend solo competition in Topeka

Lawrence students will compete in the 34th annual Junior High/Middle School Solo Festival on Saturday at Washburn University.

The competition will be in association with the Washburn University College Music Educators National Conference. About 550 students from 31 schools and home schools will enter the contest.
