¢ Happy Birthday, Heitzman: On his 75th birthday Saturday, Paul Heitzman of Eudora won the ages 75-79 division of the Mohawk 30 5K in Tulsa, Okla. Heitzman’s time of 22:24 was an Oklahoma age-group record.

¢ Hole-in-one: Blaine Sampson shot a hole-in-one Wednesday on the 135-yard No. 8 hole at Alvamar Country Club with a pitching wedge. Witnesses were Harley Catlin, Ed White and John Immel.
