National Public Radio commentator Andrei Codrescu will kick off Kansas University’s 2006-07 Humanities Lecture Series in August.

Codrescu’s lecture will be at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 28 in Woodruff Auditorium at the Kansas Union on the KU campus. The series lectures are free and open to the public.

Codrescu, a distinguished professor at Louisiana State University, has written many works, including the 2006 book “New Orleans, Mon Amour,” a collection of short essays.
