Clinton Lake

Water 1.56 feet above normal and 74 degrees. Temperature 64 degrees. Walleye fair drifting jig and nightcrawler around Clinton Point area. A few have been caught using minnows in the outlet. White bass fair casting jigs off dam and vertically jigging Clinton Point area. Channel catfish fair using worms in creeks and river during runoffs. Some being taken on stinkbait, minnows and chicken liver in lake, and in outlet. Crappie fair at 6-10 feet. Most being caught on jigs and minnows over rocky areas.

Perry Lake

Channel catfish good. Fish are moving into rocks to spawn. Use anything under a bobber in rip-rap. Sauger fair off rocky points on crankbaits or twisters. A few seen in Rock Creek area. White bass fair off rocky points using twisters or shad colored crankbaits. White crappie fair to good on tube jigs and minnows at 4-10 feet around structure.

Lone Star Lake

Largemouth bass good on grubs, crankbaits and spinnerbaits. Channel catfish fair using stinkbait and minnows. Bluegill good using worms under bobber and on small jigs.

Douglas State Lake

Closed to fishing. Lake has been drained for repair of dam and water-intake line. Dirt work continues on back side of dam.

Leavenworth State Lake

Largemouth bass fair using jigs, plastic worms and suspending crankbaits. Channel catfish good using prepared baits, livers and nightcrawlers around feeders and piers. Feeders and aerator are operational.

Lake Shawnee

Channel catfish fair using nightcrawlers, shad entrails and liver. Wiper fair using jigs off points. Crappie fair from bank on jigs and minnows at 4-8 feet. Largemouth bass good on crankbaits, jigs and plastic worms.

Pomona Lake

Channel catfish good in discharge area using cut shad and prepared baits, and off windy points using prepared baits. Walleye good off windy points and dam using jigs and minnows. White bass/wiper good in upper end and flats with large minnows, or trolling shad and jigs. Crappie good close to bank using jigs or minnows, especially at night.
