Fireworks celebrate housing subdivision
The fireworks that boomed in west Lawrence Saturday night were part of a grand-opening celebration for Lake View Villas at Alvamar – a new housing subdivision.
The fireworks display began about 9:20 p.m. as part of the celebration to show off the new homes in the area of 2250 Lake Pointe Drive, a spokesman for the Lake View Villas said. The company had a permit for the fireworks, he said.
