Bert Nash CEO heads association

David Johnson, chief executive officer of Bert Nash Community Mental Health Center, Lawrence, is the new president of the Association of Community Mental Health Centers of Kansas Inc.

The association’s board of directors recently elected Johnson to serve a two-year term, effective July 1.

The association represents a mental health system in Kansas that includes a combined staff of more than 4,500 people in 29 licensed community mental health centers, which together provide care for more than 120,000 Kansans each year.

Johnson joined Bert Nash in 2001 and oversees a staff of more than 200 employees, including psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, psychologists, educators, case managers, employment specialists and personal attendants who focus on child, adolescent, adult and geriatric mental health care.
