Republican candidates to speak at LMH
Republican candidates vying to face incumbent Democratic Congressman Dennis Moore in the November election will address voters at 7 p.m. today at Lawrence Memorial Hospital’s Conference Room A.
Candidates Chuck Ahner, a loan company executive from Overland Park, and state Rep. Scott Schwab, Olathe, have confirmed they will attend the forum, sponsored by the Republican Party of Douglas County, the Douglas County Young Republicans and the Town & Country Douglas County Republican Women.
Candidate and disability rights activist Tom Scherer, of Merriam, also said he would attend.
The 3rd Congressional District includes East Lawrence.
